For a few months now I've been doing marathons of different TV-series. During the recent work with redicecreations.com I've been "watching" Lost.
Before that I got thru Battlestar Galactica, Surface and Invasion. Very recently I've started to look at Heroes and Jericho.
All I can say is that someone know what's going on here! These writers are very intune to some interesting stuff. There are some very interesting elements and hints about occult, esoteric and "trippy" stuff in many of these shows. Interesting themes ranging from "end time" scenarios in Jericho to superhuman abilities in Heroes and Invasion. DNA/genetic related stuff in Surface (look at that eye above - hm!). Battlestar Galactica feels to me to be hinting of the lost secrets of the origins of the human race, and there are some interesting links with mythological themes in Battlestar. Alledgedly there are connections to Mormonism. Take a look at this wikipedia post on Battlestar Galactica about Religious and mythological references and here is another article on the Mormon connection.
Regarding Lost, I still don't know what to make of it. It's like The Prisoner on speed, mixed with moral difficult situations... and it all seems to end in torture frenzy with lots of blood and gore involved. There are some interesting ideas in there. It's going to be very interesting to see where it all will lead. It feels like someone have been writing and planning on Lost for quite some time.
I saw a posting by Goro Adachai over at his etemenanki section called: Octagonal Gate: Lost Secret and it's nice to see someone picking up this stuff too! I love to work of Jake Kotze that follows up on this tradition of scanning modern culture and movies after hints of something bigger - that seems to be "communicating" or signaling... thru us.
We are in a repeating pattern, a timeloop that is reflecting itself outward in a fractal. And things are moving faster and faster and the timewave zero will soon hit the shore. At the current rate we can - if we are sensitive enough - as Terrence McKenna put it, feel Rome fall once every hour. We can learn some really interesting stuff by watching modern culture for signs of what has been ...and what is to come. It's all part of our collective unconscious psyche.
...and regarding Lost. Take a look below. What are Jachin and Boaz still doing "there" in this 2004 episode. Someone did put them in there...
Now I'm Lost!
...
(Writing Nov 27th) I’m lost indeed! Ok, so I got to straighten this one out:
This is a really nice blunder, especially considering how Lost is arranged: The above picture is from a flashback by one of the characters. This was DONE in 2004 but was supposed to be before 9/11 in the episode. A bit of a downer huh? I thought I’d stumbled across some very interesting “communication” here. Anyhow – the message is still somewhat interesting, it’s not totally “lost” – someone still have chosen this particular background for this scene and consciously put WTC in there. If you look at the picture again – you notice that it’s all quite subtle. You spot them easily but they are not in the center of the scene, they could have managed to do this scene without putting the towers in there. But because 9/11 is such a focal point in our modern culture – it just shows how it can be used to indicate and communicate that this was in the “old world” - before 9/11, an obvious message that this tiered Journal author could not get into his head at 4.45 in the morning.
But don’t let any of this confuse you. I still stick the point that you definitely should watch Surface, Invasion, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica and Lost.

Hi,
Do you think it is a fine lien between modern culture hinting at what is to come and between modern cultures reactions and imaginations to what they think could come?
I mean, are you suggesting inside knowledge by these writers? Or is it just a subconscious reflex to what they themselves hear in the media?
Can you clarify? It's similar to Michael Tsarion saying that (for example) The Rolling Stones were part 'of it'...suggesting some occult association and that they beheld occult messages in their albums and songs. But what exactly is the link? Are they guided by physical hands or is it a subconscious inevitibility...that arises from creative people? Are they KNOWINGLY producing media of such characteristics or not?
thanks

Hi,
I get what your saying although I personally have to pass on Battle Star Galactica. I recently watched a re-run and it must have mormon writers because it hints of mormon theology. Well to an exmormon it actually fairly wreaks of mormon theology. Being an ex-mormon it gives me bad dreams at night. It took me years to recover from mormonism so I can't view the show with the same sort of appeal as most.
I've seen the advertisements of Heroes and Jericho but I haven't sat down and watched an entire show. I'll have to make a point of doing that.
When I did catch the advertisements I had a strong impression (not that I'm really good with womans intuition by any stretch of the imagination) that this stuff is put out to prep people's minds toward genetic possibilities. Then again, I may be wrong. :0)
all the best
